It all started in the 1950s, with Darrell Lowrance and his efforts to use transistorized sonar technology to detect fish. His vision has defined the Lowrance legacy for more than six decades – a legacy born on the water. He set out to change the way people fished. He did just that in 1957 with the introduction of the first recreational fishfinder, the FISH-LO-K-TOR, affectionately known by millions as the “Little Green Box.
